Fast Fashion: Let's slow it down

Fast Fashion is a term used to describe clothing made to fit in with current trends, which are of course ever-changing.

Constant mass production has consequently led to hundreds of millions of tonnes of garment waste being thrown away each year, and according to the United Nations Environment Programme (2018), "The equivalent of one bin lorry full of clothes is burned or dumped in a landfill every second".

A multitude of fast fashion companies have made efforts to become more ethical, however, their products still dominate landfills across the world. This could be down to many different factors, to meet ethical demands and to meet the expectations of the 21st-century consumer.

The three articles below have been created to bring attention to different areas surrounding the term 'Fast Fashion'. You can expect to read about topics such as thrifting, recycling, ethical tailoring, reselling, upcycling and learning how to shop sustainably.
